I scheduled a repair appointment online. I received several text messages updating me as to what to expect. The technician, Austin, arrived on time and explained what was wrong and how to avoid the problem in the future, Great customer service and great experience.

BAIT & SWITCH SCAM! I called Precision Garage Door of Akron two days ago to troubleshoot and fix my Linear garage door opener. The tech thought the problem was probably one of my electronic eye sensors. However, he informed me Precision does not work on or carry parts for Lenear -- they only service Genie and Liftmaster. why did he even come out then? I found an $18 sensor replacement on Amazon and showed it to the tech asking if this is what I needed. He claimed he didn't know and instead said I needed to replace the whole thing with a $900 Genie opener. I passed on the Genie and he charged me $75 for a do-nothing service charge. I just installed the $18 sensor and my Linear works great. Hope you're happy with my $75 Precision. Never again!

I feel the service was good and timely. What I didn't like was that they have a $75.00 service charge but surprise you with a $10.00 fuel surcharge on top of that. And this is not noted until you get a receipt after paying. Not a happy camper after this surprise.

We had a garage door emergency on a Saturday morning ! Our garage door was locked in the open position and we needed help! We called Precision Door and spoke with a kind lady who set up an appointment for us between 12p - 2p !! Our technician Tim C. called us and said he was in his way. When Tim arrived he greeted us with a smile and was so easy to talk with. He assessed the situation and explained in detail, the problem with the door. Tim skillfully and meticulously repaired our garage door. We would recommend him to anyone! We would like the managers/supervisors of Precision Door to know that they have a very important and impressive technician on their team! You are very fortunate to have him!! Thank you Tim C. Called this morning and had a technician come out same day and was prompt and on time. Jack Graves was very kind, professional and very knowledgeable and explained everything and knew what the issue was right away. Even fixed the problem right away as well. Even educated me with a few things to know in the future and keep in mind and answered all my questions. Would definitely recommend this company!

Update: the company and the technician Tyler, ultimately worked hard to get the custom doors installed and working properly. Serving the customer and communicating to the customer is very very poor. The general manager would not answer or return phone calls or emails. The arrangement that we agreed upon was not what I received. Overall a bad experience. Wont recommend.

Craig was a delight, very thorough and respectful of social distancing during these COVID-19 days. He fixed my remote access to my garage doors and explained everything hed done in detail to make sure I was happy with the work hed done. I have been around long enough to recognize superior service when I see it. I first encountered Precision in February 2018, when my garage door spring needed service. It would not shut and this company came out at 11p and fixed it, and did not try to gouge me. Fast forward to July 2018 when my garage door opener began smoking. Again, called Precision, and did they try to sell me a new opener, nope, they fixed the existing one, replaced my wall control, and programmed two new opener remotes that I did not even buy from them. Listen, some companies chase profits and some focus on quality, and the business naturally comes, Precision is the latter. They have a customer for life and their guy, Tyler, is absolutely top class, pleasant, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. Don't waste your time with anyone else.
