BAIT & SWITCH SCAM! I called Precision Garage Door of Akron two days ago to troubleshoot and fix my Linear garage door opener. The tech thought the problem was probably one of my electronic eye sensors. However, he informed me Precision does not work on or carry parts for Lenear -- they only service Genie and Liftmaster. why did he even come out then? I found an $18 sensor replacement on Amazon and showed it to the tech asking if this is what I needed. He claimed he didn't know and instead said I needed to replace the whole thing with a $900 Genie opener. I passed on the Genie and he charged me $75 for a do-nothing service charge. I just installed the $18 sensor and my Linear works great. Hope you're happy with my $75 Precision. Never again!

I feel the service was good and timely. What I didn't like was that they have a $75.00 service charge but surprise you with a $10.00 fuel surcharge on top of that. And this is not noted until you get a receipt after paying. Not a happy camper after this surprise.

Be Aware! I called in to replace a broken spring on my garage door. The technician, after literally a few-seconds inspection, decided that every moving part on the door needs replacement and provided an estimate of about $1300. It was a complete shock. He used scare tactics to try to make me feel that everything will break in a short period if I don't do what he recommended. I paid him the service call fee and called a local company. The job was done after few hours for a total of $360. The local technician took his time inspecting all other parts and found nothing else needed replacement. Precision is not a local company as they claim. They are a franchise of a much larger company with lots of overhead.

Tyler Adkins did an excellent job! Right on time, very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and did an excellent job! Replaced our opener without difficulty and quickly. He answered all my questions! I will definitely recommend Precision, especially this tech! Same day call and replacement of garage door motor, key pad, etc by Garrett. Replacement options explained, any discounts eligible for were given--repair took about an hour. Have used Precision in the past for repairs and service and will continue to call them as needed in the future.

I was unable to open my garage door due to broken springs. I made several calls to local companies who did not return my call. I called Prescision and they were out in about an hour. I was given 3 estimates by their tech GARRETH in his opinion on what I needed. He explained ALL options well. My garage door is now working fabulously. Would use Precision again.

Our garage door spring and cables broke last night, and I was able to chat with Cameron at 11 o clock at night to set up an appointment at 8 am the following day (Saturday). My wife is due to go into labor at any point so the fact they had someone there in less than 13 hours was amazing. Tyler A. was my technician, and whatever hes being paid isnt enough. He was punctual, professional, and informative. He broke down my choices/options not only by price, but what fit best for our situation. I have his business card now so if anything ever happens hes a phone call away. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone worth every penny.

Seems like most catastrophic home failures occur on Sundays. I feel very fortunate to have contacted a company that provides emergency service 7 days a week. We had a garage door emergency on a Saturday morning ! Our garage door was locked in the open position and we needed help! We called Precision Door and spoke with a kind lady who set up an appointment for us between 12p - 2p !! Our technician Tim C. called us and said he was in his way. When Tim arrived he greeted us with a smile and was so easy to talk with. He assessed the situation and explained in detail, the problem with the door. Tim skillfully and meticulously repaired our garage door. We would recommend him to anyone! Should have went here 1st time!! Prompt, curious, professional. There should be more people like Tyler A in the workplace- he was efficient, effective & not only fix things but explained what & why. Tylers demeanor and attitude made what seemed like a difficult day turn into manageable - overall very happy (although pricing seemed to sky rocket that wasnt his fault)

Jack did an amazing job. He was timely, courteous, and explained everything he was going to do before the job (replacing both garage door motors and sensors) and went over everything he did after the job was complete. He explained how both the remotes and key pads operated and when the time comes, change the batteries. I highly recommend this company and will be using them again when we replace both garage doors.
