BAIT & SWITCH SCAM! I called Precision Garage Door of Akron two days ago to troubleshoot and fix my Linear garage door opener. The tech thought the problem was probably one of my electronic eye sensors. However, he informed me Precision does not work on or carry parts for Lenear -- they only service Genie and Liftmaster. why did he even come out then? I found an $18 sensor replacement on Amazon and showed it to the tech asking if this is what I needed. He claimed he didn't know and instead said I needed to replace the whole thing with a $900 Genie opener. I passed on the Genie and he charged me $75 for a do-nothing service charge. I just installed the $18 sensor and my Linear works great. Hope you're happy with my $75 Precision. Never again!

I feel the service was good and timely. What I didn't like was that they have a $75.00 service charge but surprise you with a $10.00 fuel surcharge on top of that. And this is not noted until you get a receipt after paying. Not a happy camper after this surprise.

Be Aware! I called in to replace a broken spring on my garage door. The technician, after literally a few-seconds inspection, decided that every moving part on the door needs replacement and provided an estimate of about $1300. It was a complete shock. He used scare tactics to try to make me feel that everything will break in a short period if I don't do what he recommended. I paid him the service call fee and called a local company. The job was done after few hours for a total of $360. The local technician took his time inspecting all other parts and found nothing else needed replacement. Precision is not a local company as they claim. They are a franchise of a much larger company with lots of overhead.

Garreth was awesome. He arrived right on time and quickly got to work. He was incredibly knowledgeable and did a great job explaining my different options for a new garage door opener. He got me a quote fast for different options and once I picked the opener I wanted, he installed it. Installation was fast and Garreth made sure to explain all the features of the new opener before leaving. Amazing service and installation quality. I was unable to open my garage door due to broken springs. I made several calls to local companies who did not return my call. I called Prescision and they were out in about an hour. I was given 3 estimates by their tech GARRETH in his opinion on what I needed. He explained ALL options well. My garage door is now working fabulously. Would use Precision again.

10.14.2025 First class service today by Garreth. We have our doors inspected annually to ensure safety and peak performance. Garreth quickly inspected the 3 doors and thoroughly explained the results. He provided a complete estimate and answered all my questions. Outstanding knowledge of the products and services. We replaced an opener, springs, keypads, and a bottom door seal. Hard to feel great about an unexpected repair or replacement, but easier to sleep at night knowing all the garages are functioning safely and properly. We highly recommend Precision Door and Garreth. Thanks for your excellent customer service, Garreth. Previous service 04.26.2024 Outstanding service today by Tyler. Very thorough inspection of all 3 doors and recommendations for service and preventative maintenance. He completely explained and showed all issues. I am impressed with the new rollers and springs available today. Highly recommend Precision Door and Tyler for annual service and any repairs.
