We ran into a stressful situation where our garage door went off track during a power outage as we were leaving for vacation. It seemed like something we may have been able to fix ourselves if we had the right tools, but we were in a hurry to leave and did not have the patience or time to attempt to fix it. However, our door was left partially open due to the misalignment, and we were concerned about leaving it that way for a week while we were out of town. We decided to call to see if someone could fix it sooner than later, rather than wait until we returned from vacation. We were thrilled that Precision could come out and assess the issue in a matter of hours, and we made arrangements to work with them through our housesitter, since we had to hit the road immediately to make our trip. It started off smoothly, but that turned out to be the only positive from our experience. The technician talked us through the issue over the phone, but then he stated the company policy was to not repair existing systems that were not installed by their own company. This seemed pretty ridiculous because it was a fairly simple and obvious fix that needed to be done, per our limited experience and knowledge of the system. He tried to sell us an entirely new set of springs, rails, and more at a price tag of $1500. We weren't sure if this was an attempt to take advantage of our particular situation/desperation, or just a regular business practice for them. This was an obvious red flag to us, based on what we assumed to be a relatively straightforward and simple repair. We decided to just pay them the $75 service fee and figure out something else. We called another local repair company (not part of a major chain) to come out and assess the issue. Again, the other company walked us through the issue over the phone and very clearly and directly said it was EXACTLY what we thought it was. They fixed the door in about 30 minutes and charged us $150. It gave us the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation, and also saved us from forking over $1500 for something we didn't need.

The Installer was on time actually a few minutes early which I was happy to do when he called to get an ok. Explanation of the door options and extra repairs needed was clear. It was a no brainer to go with the opener with a battery back up. Quick and efficient work and no mess or old parts left behind. Pricey but a sense of comfort and ease of use eliminates any issues with the cost.

We had Tyler A come out to replace the bottom seal. While he was here, he also did an inspection. He said everything looks good and that no major work needed done. I appreciate his honesty, especially given that I was expecting something needing attention due to us not having it inspected in over 5 years. He was incredibly polite and friendly. My garage door broke, called them to see about getting a garage door replacement. They came out the next day to do a free estimate. Technician Tyler Atkins came out was very professional and friendly gave me three quotes of doors they had available went over all their financing options with me to get a solution that worked for me. They were very prompt with getting back to me to schedule the install. Technician Derek Larch came out to install the garage door. He did an excellent job. He was very thorough, friendly and made sure every thing was cleaned up when he was done. I would highly recommend them and I will use them in the future if I have any more garage door needs.

They wont repair doors unless theyre in absolute perfect condition. Need a cable fixed, wouldnt repair. Then give me quotes for new doors. There is no reason on this planet a garage door cost 4,000 doors!! Greedy people.
