I'll start with the positive. The technician was on time, nice and professional, and just doing his job. That's it. The rest: My 19 year old basic Wayne Dalton double garage door had the original internal spring break. Tech noticed a small dent (less than 3 inches) on the outside of the bottom panel, 1-inch was actually compromising the single layer of steel having an extremely small split in the metal. Apparently it's Precision policy that a door cannot be worked on if the door is "compromised," due to liability. The only solution offered to me was to buy a completely new door. I asked about replacing just the bottom panel - no. Repairing or reinforcing the split - no. There was no liability waiver I could sign. Cost of spring replacement would have been about $1,200. Full door started at $2,670 going up to $4,833. If that's their policy, fine. It's up to each customer to make their own decision and get multiple quotes, or not. But beware, this could be seen as predatory. The tech left. I called an actual local company that isn't a franchise of a national company like Precision. I asked if they'd replace the spring on a door with a 1" tear in the steel of the bottom panel. They said absolutely. I've since learned a Precision rep in Phoenix, AZ, was exposed by Dateline (in 2011 from my own Googling) for "overcharging for unnecessary repairs, high-pressure sales tactics, replacing parts that don't need replacing, poor quality workmanship, and not being upfront about pricing." I would absolutely call that my experience. The local door company ended up charging me $600 and I'm incredibly happy with the quality of work and quality of materials. That cost even includes reinforcement of the bottom panel. Proceed with caution.

Our technician was Shaun. Incredibly nice, professional, and thorough. Very easy to converse with about the work required and simplifies the work being done in his explanations. The prices are market average, so its going to cost whatever its going to cost. But Precision manufactures their own springs, which made me trust them a bit more. Shaun also finished the project in half the time he quoted me. 10/10 Highly recommend.

Wow! My garage door wouldnt open. I called at 8 AM and they were there at 9: 55 AM. I had a broken spring, but really everything needed to be replaced I could see the rusty parts. The entire job was done in less that an hour. I was shocked. Austin Z was really nice a very efficient. I am so happy. I get to go back to work and pick up papers I printed for my next meeting. You guys Rock!

Called Precision the morning it was bitter cold. The manager of the location scheduled me in right away when my motor burned out and we did not have access to our garage. The crew who installed our new garage door were great.very polite, very professional and very friendly and answered all of our questions. The only negative was that when they removed the old door opener (which I had planned to save and possibly reuse down the road as it was only a couple years old) they cut off the wire that goes to the wall opening switch right at the top of opener where it goes down inside the opener and I dont think that theres enough room that I can reattach the wire to the opener so that it will be able to work. ButI obviously didnt make myself clear that I planned to reuse the old opener some day. Other than that all is good except I havent received our receipt via email yet. But they were great!

Wow!!! Car was trapped in garage. Called Precision and was able to schedule a time that worked for my schedule. Tyler called and asked if he could come 15 min early!! Tyler A. did a great job for me on Nov. 27. He did an assessment and answered questions. I had to replace my 24 year old Genie with a new model, 3120. Two remotes, an indoor keypad and an outdoor keypad were included. He was gracious enough to re-program my old remotes to the new door. After completing the work, he cleaned up the garage and walked me through everything. I was thankful for the company's 24/7 business hours. I was able to call Precision at 10:00 p.m., the night my old opener stopped working, and was able to get an appointment the next morning, the day before Thanksgiving.

Tech was an hour late, misdiagnosed the problem with the garage door, and quoted approximately $1500 for a new system. My door was fixed by another company for less than $200 with service and parts.

I called on a Friday morning and Tyler arrived a short time later as promised. He quickly evaluated the broken garage door and presented us with 3 options. After we decided which option was best for us , he got to work and was able to complete the repair quickly. Mark did an awesome job. He replaced my broken springs and a few other items like worn out bearing. I called at 8 and he was here by 930 and finished by 11. The price was a little shocking but what isn't these days. But I haven't had to replace anything major since the door was installed in 1998.
